I have learned that making a costume entirely out of Kandi Beads is a very difficult task. It is so challenging because beads by themselves are not a flexible material. They are pretty much a hard substance to work with. Typically costumes are made out of fabric which is much more pliable and easy to manipulate. However, I am determined to stick with this idea because I think it gives me the greatest chance of winning this upcoming competition. I have another friend who is a costume designer and I have asked them to come over tomorrow to help me with this idea. I think it will be very helpful for me to have some additional insight into this project as well as an extra hand to help me get finished quicker. I know I don’t have a lot of time to complete this project and so far most of my time has gone towards just figuring out the logistics of making this work.
